We would like to introduce ourselves
We are Bob and Hieke van Baarle. Born and raised in Zeeland, and living together with our three children and our dog at Kustpark De Strandloper. We live here all year round, right in the middle of the park, by the sea and outdoors. This is our home. The daily contact with our guests, the holiday atmosphere, and life between beach and nature make us enjoy living and working here every day.
Our children grow up here with the beach, sea, and nature literally around the corner. After school and on weekends, they are often outside: playing in the sand, walking along the water with the dog, or simply exploring. For us, that is one of the most beautiful aspects of life here: space to play, freedom to be outdoors, and the peace of the Zeeland coast.
We live just behind the dunes, within walking distance of the sea, with the Brouwersdam around the corner where families can fully enjoy water sports and relaxation. Throughout the year, there are cozy beach bars where you can settle down together. Whether it’s a beach day, a long walk, a first surf lesson, a round of SUP, or sharing a cup of hot chocolate with a view of the sea. Here, everything feels close, safe, and natural, in every season of the year.
It is precisely that fine balance between nature, relaxation, and active outdoor living that makes life at De Strandloper so special. We want our guests to experience that feeling of freedom and effortless enjoyment.
De Strandloper is a place full of memories for us. We grew up here and the family business has been passed down from generation to generation. With much love and pride, we continue this tradition and together with our family and staff, we are further developing a park where quality, involvement, and personal attention are central.
Kustpark De Strandloper is a chalet park with permanent accommodations, rental accommodations, seasonal pitches, and tourist pitches. Over the years, the park has grown with its guests but has always maintained its peaceful, well-kept, and personal character, with attention to detail and care for one another.
Together with our dedicated and committed team, we ensure every day that everything runs smoothly and pleasantly at the park. Barry, Bob's brother and Ayron are a strong duo: practical, solution-oriented, hospitable, and always ready for a chat.
Johan is the park manager and lives together with his wife Heidi at De Strandloper. He is visibly present at the park and involved in all aspects of daily management. Through his approach and attention to detail, matters are picked up, resolved, and completed. Heidi can also be found in her cozy shop Heidies Fashion & More on the park, which is well worth a visit.
Together we ensure that Kustpark De Strandloper remains a place where everything is in order: neat, safe, and above all hospitable.
For us, De Strandloper is not just a business, but above all a place close to our hearts. A place where people feel welcome, like to return, and quickly feel a bit at home. We happily share that warm feeling with everyone who comes here to enjoy peace, space, and the Zeeland coast.
