How can we reach you?

We are reachable by phone from 09:00 to 17:00 at 0111-676076.
You can also email us at info@destrandloper.nl.

What are the reception opening hours?

The reception is open daily from 09:00 to 12:00.
For questions and reservations, we are reachable by phone until 17:00.

What should I do in case of a malfunction or emergency?

For malfunctions or urgent matters, call 0111-676760.
After 17:00 you can use the intercom at the reception. A staff member will assist you further.

Is there catering on the park?

We do not have catering ourselves, but in Scharendijke you will find several eateries within walking distance with cozy terraces, including:

  • Snackbar Het Koepeltje (± 200 m)
  • Eterij & Tapperij Saluud (± 300 m)
  • Eethuis Schouwen (± 325 m)
  • Pizzeria Leonardo’s (± 325 m)
  • Eetcafé Surf-Inn (± 350 m)
  • La Strada (pizzeria/shoarma) (± 350 m)
  • Pizzeria Da Roberto (± 1.2 km)
Is there a supermarket nearby?

Just around the corner, a 5-minute bike ride away, there is a large PLUS supermarket. Also with a pharmacy, department store, and liquor store.

How far is the beach / village / city?

The Brouwersdam and the North Sea beach are 10 minutes on foot. Parking is free here.
Also at the same distance is the Grevelingen beach West-Repart, behind the snackbar Het Koepeltje with playground in the water, within walking distance opposite our park.

  • Center of Scharendijke with nice terraces and restaurants about ± 300 meters walking distance
  • Renesse 4 km
When is the coastal park open?

The coastal park is open all year round.

Is there Wi-Fi / internet?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available in the park.

How many camping pitches / accommodations are there?
  • Approximately 50 tourist pitches and approximately 235 permanent pitches.
  • Around 35 rental accommodations.
Is there a swimming pool?

Our park itself does not have a swimming pool. There are subtropical pools located 1 km away.

Is the park suitable for families with children?

Yes, the park is popular with families. For children, we have nice playgrounds, children's entertainment, you can walk to the beach, take part in water sports activities or visit the water playground.

Where exactly is Kustpark De Strandloper located?

The park is a 10-minute walk from both the Grevelingenmeer and the North Sea beach.

What dining and shopping options are nearby?

Are dogs welcome in the park?

Definitely! Dogs are very welcome at Kustpark De Strandloper. On the park, please keep them on a leash, and you can enjoy walking them outside the park.

As a dog would say itself: “We’re just going to the beach.”

What are the check-in / check-out times?

Camping pitches

  • Check-in: from 12:00
  • Check-out: before 11:00

Rental chalets

  • Check-in: from 15:00
  • Check-out: before 10:30
How does access to the park (self check-in) work?

You provide us with your license plate number before arrival (not necessary for G-spots). This license plate will be activated so the barrier automatically opens during your stay.

How can I change my license plate number?

Via your booking confirmation, you can log in to your account mijn.destrandloper.nl and update your details.

You can also send a message via the contact form mentioning your reservation number.

Camping & caravanning
Is there Wi-Fi / internet?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available in the park.

What types of camping pitches are there?

We have different types of pitches:

  • Overnight pitch – approximately 50 m²
  • Comfort pitch – approximately 120 m²
  • Seasonal pitch – approximately 130 m²
  • Seasonal pitch with private sanitary facilities

All pitches are equipped with 10 ampere electricity or more.

Comfort pitches and seasonal pitches additionally have water connection, wastewater drainage, TV connection, and free wifi.

Private sanitary facilities consist of a toilet, shower, and sink.

Where can I empty my chemical toilet?

This facility is located on the outside of the sanitary building and one on the right side at the entrance of the park at the camper service station and is free to use.

Where can I drain dirty water and refill water with the camper?

Immediately after the barrier gate on the right you will find the camper service station. Here you can:

  • Drain dirty water
  • Refill clean water
  • Empty your chemical toilet
Where can I dispose of my waste?

Waste containers can be found just past the entrance on the right side. We try to collect as much waste separately as possible.

Are dogs welcome in the park?

Definitely! Dogs are very welcome at Kustpark De Strandloper.

You can easily add your dog when making your reservation, under the 'extras' section. On the park, dogs must be kept on a leash, and walking them is wonderful outside the park.

As a dog would say: “We’re going for a walk to the beach.”

Am I allowed to barbecue?

Barbecuing is allowed provided:

  • You use an original charcoal BBQ
  • No damage is caused to grass or ground
Can I charge my electric car?

There are 4 charging points at the front of the park.

Is there entertainment in the park?

Yes! We regularly organize entertainment activities during the season.

Accommodations
Is there Wi-Fi / internet?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available in the park.

Can I park at my accommodation?
  • At chalets, you may park 1 car
  • For beach houses, 2 parking spaces are available
Is bedding included?

Accommodations are rented out as standard without bed linen and towels, unless you have booked these extras.

The beds are provided with pillows and single duvets.

Can I book bed linen and/or bath towels?

Please reserve in advance so that it is ready upon your arrival. In your booking confirmation, you will find a link to log in to mijn.destrandloper.nl. There you can update details including your bed linen and/or bath towels.

Or you can send an email via the contact form mentioning your booking number.

Do I need to bring my own towels and tea towels?

A kitchen package with a tea towel and towel is provided as standard.

Is there a parasol available?

Each accommodation has a garden set with parasol.

What appliances are in the accommodation?

Each accommodation includes, among others:

  • Kettle
  • Nespresso coffee machine
  • 4-burner gas stove
  • Combination microwave
  • Kitchen inventory with crockery
  • HD flatscreen TV
  • Garden furniture with parasol
Are cots and high chairs available for rent?

Yes, you can rent these from us. Please make a reservation in advance so it is ready upon your arrival.

In your booking confirmation, you will find a link to log in to mijn.destrandloper.nl. There you can update details including cots and high chairs. Or you can send an email via the contact form mentioning your booking number.

Are dogs welcome in the park?

Sure! Dogs are more than welcome at Coastal Park De Strandloper.

You can easily add your dog when making your reservation, under the 'extras' section. Please keep dogs on a leash in the park, and walking them outside the park is lovely.

As a dog would say: “We’re just walking to the beach.” 

If the 'dog' option is not available under extras, then unfortunately this accommodation is not suitable for pets.
My reservation & payment
How can I make a reservation?

You can easily make a reservation online via our website. Prefer personal contact? Then you can also email or call us.

How do I book for a group?

For multiple accommodations or camping pitches, we recommend contacting us.

Can I choose a spot myself?

Yes, when booking online you can see the available spots and choose a location yourself.

How do I pay for my reservation?

Online bookings are paid directly through many payment platforms including iDEAL.

Can I only book for certain fixed periods during the holidays?

During holidays a package period applies. You can still arrive or depart flexibly within or outside this period.

Can I modify or extend my reservation?

If availability and timing allow, this is possible.

Can I reschedule my stay?

If this is communicated at least 2 weeks before arrival and availability exists, we can arrange this for you.

Note: another period may have a different price.

What is the minimum age to make a reservation?

The minimum age is 23 years.

De Strandloper is a family park. Couples in their twenties are welcome from 23 years onwards. Groups of young people or partygoers are not allowed and may be refused upon arrival. Please contact us in advance if in doubt.

Do I get a refund if I leave early?

If you leave early and do not have a valid cancellation insurance through us, unfortunately you will not get any money back except for the tourist tax for nights not stayed.

I have to cancel suddenly, do I get part of my money back?

That depends on the reason why you cancel and whether you have taken out your own cancellation insurance or booked the cancellation fund through us. Otherwise, unfortunately, we do not give money back

What are the cancellation conditions?

We apply the RECRON conditions.

Can I participate in the cancellation fund?

Yes, through us you can take out cancellation insurance for 5% of the booking amount. This option is available up to 24 hours after making your reservation. After that, participation is unfortunately no longer possible.
