Perfect for the kids
The Grevelingenmeer is just a 10-minute walk from the campsite. Here you will find a nice child-friendly recreational beach with a super fun playground above the shallow water.
In addition, there is a sandy beach with a sunbathing lawn and a designated swimming area. From the lookout Het Koepeltje you have a beautiful view over the Grevelingen! Het Koepeltje is a snorkeling area where there is a lot to see underwater. You can spot shore crabs, small fish, and sometimes even a lobster.
Fun fact
The Grevelingenmeer is the largest saltwater lake in Western Europe. Because of its large surface area, you can do all kinds of activities here. Surfing, sailing, diving, fishing, paddleboarding, boat tours... You name it!
Tip for with the kids
Go crab catching with the kids on a pier or jetty. Make a simple DIY fishing rod with a piece of string, a weight, and a clothespin with a piece of bread in between. The kids will definitely catch something and have a great time!
